| Oriental Music Ensemble |
A distinguished ensemble of musicians of the ESNCM, which works
to preserve and present the real meaning of authentic oriental music.
The 5 to 7 musician ensemble aims to revive the Arabic music classical
heritage, which is being eroded by modern commercial music.
The Oriental Music Ensemble of the ESNCM produced its first very
successful CD “Emm el-Khilkhal” in
the year 2000. The Ensemble performs annually in the Palestinian
festivals and has successfully performed in London, Brussels and
Greece. Current group members are Suhail Khoury on Ney and Clarinet,
Ahmad Al Khatib on Oud, Ibrahim Atari on Quanoun and Yousef Zayed
and Yusef Hbeish on Percussion.

| Jerusalem Arabic Music Ensemble |
Was founded in 2009 on the occasion of “Al Quds, the Cultural
Capital of the Arab World” It crowned its first musical
performance with the renowned musician Simon Shaheen within the
annual ESNCM Festival of Arabic Music

| Bethlehem Arabic Music Ensemble |
Founded in 2009 under the direction of music teacher, Dia
Rashmawi, launched its first performance in Santiago, Chile. It
performs traditional and Tarab Arabic music.

| Turath - Ramallah |
Founded in 2006 by oud teacher Samer Totah performs Arabic vocal
and instrumental music of such renowned musicians as Abdel
Wahhab, Zakaria Ahmad and Wadi Safi. The Ensemble is formed of
5-8 musicians from amongst the students and teachers of the
ESNCM.

| Maqamat Al-Quds |
Founded in 2010, launched its debut during the Jazz Festival in
Paris. It is composed of 12 musicians under the direction of
qanoun teacher Wafa Al Zaghel, performing Tarab music by Riad Al
Sunbati, Abdel Wahhab, the Rahbani Brothers and others.

| ESNCM Arabic Music Choir - Awj |
A choral ensemble of Arabic classics, the student group Awj first
performed at the Jerusalem Festival for Arabic Music in 1999. It
later gave performances in Ramallah, Birzeit and Jerusalem. The
group sings “Muwashahat”, “Quasaed” “Taqateek” and other forms of
Arabic classical singing. The student ensemble is usually accompanied
instrumentally by teachers of the oriental section of the ESNCM.

| “Shams” Children’s Choir |
“Shams” is a choir of talented children between the ages of 8 to
14. The choir accepts students and non students of the ESNCM only
by audition. The first production of the Choir was Al-Fawanees
produced in 2004, the first musical in Palestine, where for the first time ever, an
orchestra of internationals played with Palestinian
Instrumentalists. More productions
are planned for the future.
