"Henna"... The voices of young women from Palestine

The album consists of eight songs, some originals and others rearranged and produced for the album. 6 of which are for solo performers and 2 performed by “Banat al Quds” choir. Suhail Khoury summarised the importance of this production saying “this production aims to encourage and spread the voices of these young Palestinian women, paving the way for them to create their own artistic persona, and we hope that this album inspires more singers to surface and produce music of their own.”
This album uses the colloquial Palestinian dialect, and the songs are written by Palestinian poets and composers. One of these titles is by the late Palestinian poet Sameeh Qassim:  “As Long as I Have” sung by “Banat al Quds”.
