"Together we create" is a musical-poetry production project that consists of the vision and mission of the two institutions in creating a creative and free environment in Palestine based on training and capacity development among Palestinian youth, especially from the younger age groups.
This workshop is the first one in 2018, then followed by another workshop in order to pursue original musical or lyrical material which will publish that will be published later in a book and a CD. These productions will be presented at the beginning of 2019 through a group of the Conservatory Ensembles in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The training will be organized for four days under the supervision of Issa Boulos, a well-known Palestinian teacher and composer. Issa was exploring Western music's principals of composition and orchestration, of which he incorporated various aspects into his own music. Those early years witnessed the composition of over 200 instrumental and vocal pieces and one large-scale extended work entitled Kawkab Akhar. He seeks to improve the quality of contemporary Arabic music and promote cultural and social awareness among the public.
'Together we create” is part of the "Gaza Singing" project, funded by The Representative Office of Norway to the Palestinian Authority Wich aims to develop the creative potential of Palestinian children and youths and enable them to create musical and artistic productions. The duration of the project is three years.
