Who Can Apply

Students can apply for a place in the ESNCM from the age of 6-8, depending on the instrument and the teacher. They can register as regular or amateur students from the outset; however students will not begin to take theory classes until they reach the age of nine or 5th grade at school. There is no upper age limit for students; however the ESNCM gives priority to school-age children in the application process. There is no prerequisite to get acceptance to the ESNCM, although a simple entrance examination is performed to assess the natural ability of an applicant. In some cases applicants might not get accepted for their first choice instrument but still receive a place in another, due to limited places or compatibility of age or size.

Scholarships are available on the basis of financial need, and all students are eligible to apply for them.
