Who Can Apply Students can apply for a place in the ESNCM from the age of 6-8, depending on the instrument and the teacher. They can register as regular or amateur students from the outset; however students will not begin to take theory classes until they reach the age of nine or 5th grade at school. There is no upper age limit for students; however the ESNCM gives priority to school-age children in the application process. There is no prerequisite to get acceptance to the ESNCM, although a simple entrance examination is performed to assess the natural ability of an applicant. In some cases applicants might not get accepted for their first choice instrument but still receive a place in another, due to limited places or compatibility of age or size.Scholarships are available on the basis of financial need, and all students are eligible to apply for them. |
