The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Gaza has carried out several visits and music performances in UNRWA schools in Gaza within the framework of introducing students to the conservatory and its role in teaching music, singing, playing instruments and developing talents and creativity throughout Palestine.

The visits have included the Shati Preparatory Girls’ School at al-Shati refugee camp, Maghazi Girls’ School, and Bahrain Preparatory Boys’ School in Tal al-Hawa. Students learned about the conservatory and its history, branches, achievements, teaching system and how to join.  Teachers from the conservatory played for the students and talked about their instruments and the pieces they played, as well as giving students a chance to try out the instruments.
