The Conservatory’s band Ram presented an online concert with Christmas music to celebrate the season with a performance that was prerecorded and broadcast on social media platforms due to the epidemiological situation in the region. The songs it shared included the Christmas hymn “Morantah” and “Jesus Comes Tonight” by Julia Boutros.
Ram was established as one of the ensembles of the Ramallah branch to present Arab music in its various modern, classical, and traditional musical colors. It consists of eleven musicians who are students, graduates, and teachers of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music on various musical instruments. Currently, it includes the oud, violin, buzuq, qanun, percussion, and contrabass, but Ram band aspires to include other musical instruments as well.
